Terrassen Camping

Terrassen Camping is beautifully situated in the middle of Søhøjlandet. From the square there is a panoramic view of, among other things, Himmelberget. The site is the second highest campsite in Denmark.

The campsite is classified as 4 stars with space for 250 units in addition to cabins, mobile homes and rental vans. There is electricity for all seats. Some of the pitches are comfort pitches with drainage, water and TV.

From the campsite there is a train connection to both Silkeborg and Aarhus. The tour boats from Silkeborg also have regular departures below the square with departures to both Ry and Silkeborg.

It may be possible to purchase an area for possible expansion of the site.

The campsite’s area is 5.8 ha.

There are currently 34 permanent residents on the site.

For rent there are 3 glamping tents, 3 mobile homes with spa bath, 6 cabins without toilet and bath, 3 caravans for rent, 10 cabins of 25 m2 each with toilet and bath and 5 mobile homes, 3 of which are brand new.

Playground with i.a. 2 bouncy pads, 2 pétanque courts, 4 trampolines, 3 hammocks, 1 beach volleyball court, cable car, soccer field, moon-car field, outdoor fitness, and various play equipment. The area is very large and must not be used for camping.

At the entrance there is a 12-hole mini golf course.

In connection with a previous subdivision of the campsite, the campsite has established a road association.

An area is rented as i.a. used for parking purposes as well as helicopter landing and take-off.

Emptying and filling system for motorhomes.

There is water and lighting over the entire area.

Building description

The main building has a total of 332 m2 spread over 2 floors. The building dates from 1968 and was rebuilt in 1985 according to BBR. The building is furnished with a shop with 2 ice freezers, delivery counter, double bottle cooler and various shelves. Living room with coffee machine, table and chairs. Storage room. Reception with counter, 2 workstations CompuSoft and 3 cupboards. Kitchen with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. Entrance with access to the 1st floor. Office. Bedroom. Bathroom with spa pool. On the 1st floor there is a bedroom. Bathroom. 2 rooms with loft. Office. Kitchen/living room with fridge, oven, microwave, range. From the living room there is access to the conservatory, from which there is access to the terrace with the most wonderful view of the Gudenåen.

A 27 m2 wooden building from 1968 containing a garage and workshop has been established next to the main building.

The service building is 435 m2 and was built in 1989, but rebuilt in 2004 according to BBR. The building has a covered terrace with outdoor kitchen and barbecue. The building contains 2 family rooms, children’s department, laundry with 3 washing machines and 3 tumble dryers, sink in table, Kitchen with 6 sinks in table, 2 ovens, 1 microwave and 6 double hobs. Living room with television, billiards, air hockey, football games, 4 sofas and 7 tables and various chairs. The living room can be separated with a folding wall. 3 family rooms, children’s section, kitchen with 4 sinks, 4 double electric hobs, 2 ovens, microwave. 2 family rooms Traditional men’s and women’s section.

Next to the service building there is a large swimming pool as well as a pool bar and 2 toilets.

• 3 standard cabins of 20 m2 without bath and toilet.
• 3 standard cabins of 15 m2 without bath and toilet. 2 of them with water.
• 10 cabins of 25 m2 containing bath and toilet.
• 5 mobile homes, 3 of which are brand new. Built by Excellenthuse and containing a room with a double bed, a bathroom, a living room/kitchen and a room with 2 single beds. Terrace with garden furniture.
• 3 newer Julsø houses (mobile homes) of 38 m2 with a hot tub on the terrace, as well as garden furniture and a large barbecue, contain a living room/kitchen, two rooms, 2 x bathrooms and 2 x toilets (they are only 2 years old).
• In the area with mobile homes, there are 24 comfort pitches with electricity, water and TV.
